Confetti

Releases

0.5.1

Oct 15, 2026

Runs on Theme Engine 1.3.1.

  • Advanced Search's active facets (with the Reference module, which its facets need) are chips in the theme's colors, readable in dark mode, with a × that every font can show.

0.5.0

Oct 15, 2026

Runs on Theme Engine 1.3.0.

  • Popular modules from the Omeka S directory fit the theme in both color schemes: their own pages (Advanced Search's search page, Mapping's map) sit in the page column, Universal Viewer and Mirador keep their own interface, and Mapping, Transcript, Access, Advanced Search and Block Plus take the theme's colors, fields and cards. See Module integrations in the docs.
  • A module's block in an item page's sidebar (Theme › Configure resource pages) sits in a panel like the theme's own sidebar blocks.
  • Browse pages › Line under the card title can show the Type and date: the item's Type (dcterms:type), else its class, then the date. With it, the label above item titles shows the type too.
  • The item details placed in the sidebar get their "Details" heading, as in the top and bottom regions.
  • A new theme thumbnail, from the demo site.

0.4.0

Oct 13, 2026

  • Browse pages › Line under the card title chooses what each card shows under its title: the class and date (as before), the creators and date ("Mila, age 6 · 2026", for artwork), the date only, or nothing.

0.3.0

Oct 13, 2026

Runs on Theme Engine 1.1.0.

  • Two blocks for item pages, under Theme › Configure resource pages: Wall label, an artwork's caption the way a museum hangs it (the artist and their dates, title and date, medium, dimensions, credit line, number, then the label text), and Linked items as cards, the items that link to this one (an artist's works, say) as a grid of cards.
  • Cite this names linked creators and publishers by their titles; it printed the linked item's web address.
  • A values list placed in the top or bottom region gets a "Details" heading and its usual rows.
  • Search filters show each value as a chip, so several item sets no longer run together.
  • theme.jpg shows the Make Your Mark demo site again, freshly captured.

0.2.1

Oct 12, 2026

  • theme.jpg, the theme's picture in Omeka's theme list, shows the Make Your Mark demo site.
  • The store listing and docs show screenshots of the demo site.
  • Theme Engine 1.0.1 (Confetti keeps its own, wider header search field).

0.2.0

Oct 12, 2026

  • The Header section (formerly Logo) has every header setting: logo size, site title, tagline, header layout (classic, menu below, centered, menu button only), header color, keeping the header visible while scrolling, search, a header button and menu levels. The defaults are Confetti's look until now, so sites look the same until you change them.
  • On a colored header the search field is a whole pill: its button takes the header's text color instead of vanishing into the header.
  • The header search field is wide enough on desktop (20rem) to show its whole placeholder.
  • A header kept visible while scrolling leaves room for its wavy edge, so links and focused controls never stop under it.
  • The header button moves into the menu below 640 pixels wide, so the site title keeps its room.

0.1.0

Oct 12, 2026

First version, built on the Theme Engine.

  • Four bright palettes (Sunshine, Bubblegum, Ocean, Meadow), each checked for WCAG 2.2 AA contrast in light and dark mode.
  • Rounded fonts served from the site: Fredoka, Baloo 2 and Nunito, plus Andika for children learning to read and Atkinson Hyperlegible Next for low-vision readers.
  • Wavy header, footer and section edges (one wave size throughout; on a page that opens with a banner, the header's wave lies over the picture), pill buttons and menus, sticker cards with colored shadows, speech-bubble callouts.
  • BlockSuite blocks in the same style: outlined pill tabs with the selected one filled, tab panels and accordion items as padded rounded boxes.
  • Decorations setting: playful (confetti, squiggles, stars) or calm.
  • Friendly wording on the "page not found" and error pages and for empty search results.
  • A short settings list: palette, fonts, decorations, dark mode, logo, announcement bar, footer, site icon and sharing, custom CSS.
